Interview mit The Miz und John Morrison

On March 8, we had the opportunity to interview WWE wrestlers The Miz and John Morrison prior to the European finals of the worldwide SmackDown! vs. Raw 2008 competition.

WrestlingGames.de: Hi, I'm Marcel Fischer from WrestlingGames.de.
The Miz: Hi, I'm Mike. Nice to meet you.
John Morrison: Hi, I'm John.

WrestlingGames.de: Thank you for taking the time for this interview.
The Miz: No problem, dude. That's the reason we are here. (...) Do you like my t-shirt?
WrestlingGames.de: Yeah, it's cool.
The Miz: You can buy it just like Morrison's shirt at WWEShopZone.com. So, what do you wanna know?

WrestlingGames.de: So do you like Germany?
The Miz: Oh yeah, I like Rammstein and the German girls of course. I can't believe that Rammstein is very popular in the USA but not in Germany. I mean they are Germans. That's hilarious. What is the reason?
WrestlingGames.de: The reason is that we understand what they sing. *laughs*
The Miz: I don't understand it but I like the heavy sound, the guitars. Who do you like?
WrestlingGames.de: I like the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
Both: Oh, yeah. They're such a cool band too.

WrestlingGames.de: Do you play videogames in the locker room?
John Morrison: Yes, we like it and play as often as possible. Mostly there is a videogame station in the backstage area. We like it to finish our feuds in the virtual ring.

WrestlingGames.de: John, do yu like your in-game character?
John Morrison: Yes, the virtual Morrison looks amazingly real. He's nearly perfect. I mean he really looks like me. Every detail is right.

WrestlingGames.de: And Mike, how does it feel not to be in the game?
The Miz: It's kinda bad. All about the internet you can read complains from Miz fans about that I'm not in the game. Everyone, really everyone dislikes it. Especially the chicks because they can't play with me. *winks* But the next SmackDown game will be best game ever and do you know why? Because I will be in it. A very detailed The Miz model.

WrestlingGames.de: How does the work with the developers look like in detail? Is it very complex?
John Morrison: Oh yes it is. There are three steps: First the motion capturing process. The second one is the face scan and the third and last is the body scan. Let me explain it: The motion capturing are the one that takes the most time. You wear a black motion capturing suit with white balls on it everywhere. For the recording you have to go in a standard stance. Then do a punch with your right arm for example. After you executed it you have to go back into the standard stance again. In the face scan they just don't take a picture of your face. No, they scan it. Every detail gets scanned. Even the hair. The body scan is the same thing just instead of the face they scan the rest of the body. Every detail gets scanned. Every inch gets seperately scanned. You can see the veins too on the model. It really looks fantastic.

The Miz: So Johnathan, I got a question for you now: What do you think of this year's WrestleMania?
John Morrison: It'll be amazing. We have John Cena against Triple H and Randy Orton for the WWE Championship. We have The Edge against The Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship.
The Miz: Did you just say 'The Edge'? Isn't he called just 'Edge'?
John Morrison: Yeah, but I want to say 'The Edge'. You have also a 'The' in front of your name. Why just can't have all this. It sounds cool. Listen: I'm The Morrison...
The Miz: Yeah, "Did you smell what The Morrison is cooking?" *laughs*
John Morrison: Enough jokes for now. Where did we quit?
WrestlingGames.de: At Wrestlemania 24.
John Morrison: Yeah, we have Edge against the Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championchip. It'll be a great match, I promise. We have of course Big Show versus Floyd Mayweather. And we got something for the Mo-Fos, the Morrison followers. That's what I call my fans. We, The Miz and John Morrison, will have a special appearance. It will be announced what kind of appearance we have right before WrestleMania. And for the first time, WrestleMania will be in HD. It will be very detailed. You get flashed when you gotta see it.
WrestlingGames.de: Sounds like an interesting WrestleMania.
